Contract signed with Sourcebooks for “Cards for Brianna!”
December 14, 2015Hallmark on board with “Cards for Brianna!”
February 9, 2016Happy New Year! Here are a few updates on some of my books, as of January 5, 2016…
The making of Cards for Brianna continues to move along. The manuscript is being edited again this week, the cover should be ready in the next few days, TV and print media have received the manuscript and are reading it now…and the book hit #1 on Amazon in a few different categories over the past few weeks – more than three months before it’s publication date of April 12. Lots more news to come!!
I haven’t talked much about The Doctor Will See You Now: Recognizing and Treating Endometriosis, a book I’ve written with Tamer Seckin, MD. That’s only because it’s been a long process as we’ve been trying to perfect a book on a very complicated subject. But I’m excited to say that it is scheduled to be released March 1, 2016, by Turner Publishing. Top Chef host and international model Padma Lakshmi has written the foreword, and we expect several other celebrities to endorse the book, which will bring awareness to this devastating but little-known disease.
My book with Bill Philipps, Expect the Unexpected, is selling well just a few months in, and Bill continues to travel the country giving readings. His Facebook following was 30,000 in the summer of 2014 when we started the book. Today it’s at more than 155,000, and it grows by about 1,000 a week.
Missy Jenkins Smith continues to speak nationwide about her life and promote her memoir I Choose to be Happy. Missy will be interviewed later this week by a Spanish media group on shootings in the U.S., and she will be doing a photo shoot in New York City next week for Glamour Magazine for a story they are doing on shooting survivors.
Tanya Brown, with whom I wrote Finding Peace Amid the Chaos, has just created a fabulous new website at www.tanyabrown.net where you can get all of the information you need about her coaching services and speaking engagements.
